Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a theatre actor, writer, director) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her mother, as well as an actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician, as well as Ira David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers often were seen performing in the Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father started it and is its director of operations. She was five when she auditioned for the role of Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Along with her mom and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996.
