Big Time Rush The Big Time Rush, an
American pop boy band was formed in the year 2009. The group is made up of
Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Logan Henderson, and Carlos PenaVega. They
signed their first contract to Nick Records in 2009 before switching to
Columbia Records. They were featured in Nickelodeon's TV series, Big Time Rush.
The show aired from November 28 the 29th of 2009 to July 25, 2013. The premiere
episode featured the group's first promo single, "Big Time Rush". The
group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate (2011) and 24/Seven
(2013). The group in 2014 was on break for an indefinite time which lasted
until 2021. The group then returned to live performances and then released
"Call It Like I See The Album". Nickelodeon signed Big Time Rush a
record deal in 2009 while simultaneously broadcasting the television show Big
Time Rush. Nickelodeon also teamed up with Columbia/Epic Label Group for
production and music that is original. The series' first single, "Big Time
Rush" was released on the 29th of November in 2009. Officially made public
on Nickelodeon the song first aired in the U.S. November 2009 and was later
aired worldwide. The series premiered on a one-hour special trailer for the
series and it is currently the show's main theme. Promo singles such as
"City is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and many more were
released in the course of the series. Big Time Rush remixed "Famous"
by Play. The track was released to iTunes on June 29 2010. The second track,
"Halfway There", was also released on iTunes following its premiere
on the series. It quickly became the first charting song on the Billboard Hot
100. Due to the digital sales, it reached number 93. The second single from Big
Time Rush, "Till You Forget About You", was released on the 21st of
September in 2010. This was to promote their debut album. On the 11th of
October, 2010 the album, dubbed BTR was released to the general public. The
album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200. It sold 67,000 copies
within its first week.
