Zachary Galifianakis

Zachary Knight Galifianakis Greek pronunciation born on October 1, 1969) is an American comedian, actor as well as a musician and writer. He appeared in Comedy Central Presents special and hosted his own show Late World with Zach on VH1. Galifianakis has appeared as a lead in a number of films that include The Hangover Trilogy (2009-2013), Due Date (2010). The Campaign (2012), Birdman or The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance (2014) as well as Masterminds (2016). He also voiced characters in animated films, including Puss in Boots (2011), The Lego Batman Movie (2017), Missing Link (2019), and Ron's Gone WRONG (2021). Galifianakis currently hosts the Funny or Die website talk show Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. Galifianakis was a star on the FX series Baskets. He was nominated in 2017 for the Primetime Emmy Award as Outstanding Lead Actor in Comedy Series. Zachary Knight Galifianakis, a North Carolina native, was born on the 1st of October, 1969 in Wilkesboro. The actor is the father of Mary Frances (nee Cashion), and Harry Galifianakis, a heating oil retailer. His mother is of Scottish-Irish and English origin, and his paternal grandparents were Greek immigrants from Crete. His father was a Greek Orthodox Christian and he was received a baptism. He is the younger brother of named Merritt and an older brother, Greg. His cousin Nick Galifianakis (Washington Post cartoonist) is his uncle. Galifianakis went to Wilkes Central High School. Then he went to North Carolina State University and majored in communications. He was radio operator at a public access station while in college. He taught the waltz class, in 1991 and he came into contact with Mary J. Blige. Following his debut on television Boston Common, Galifianakis joined Saturday Night Live for two weeks. He mentioned that he was the Saturday Night Live host for two weeks. Britney was host the week before. Will Ferrell was going on a role as the bodyguard for her belly button. Will and I were planning to shrink Will down to fit in the belly button. ...she just stared at me as I explained it to her. And then she finally goes "Oh that's funny.'"
