Danielle Riley Keough. 2. Born in Santa Monica (California) to musicians Lisa
Marie Presley & Danny Keough she is the grandchild of the actress
Priscilla Presley and singer Elvis Presley. Keough was raised by her father in
Hawaii, Los Angeles and spent some time with her mother in California. She
started modeling at fifteen. Her appearances at Dolce & Gabbana fashion
shows and Christian Dior's cover-shoots were among her many highlights. In her
20s, Keough was cast in the role of a support in The Runaways (2010) as Marie
Currie. Then, she starred in the independent thriller The Good Doctor (2011)
followed by the horror movie Jack & Diane (2012) prior to being part of
a minor character in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). Keough
has appeared in other independent films in 2012 as well, including Yellow and
Kiss of the Damned, before appearing in the big-budget action film Mad Max:
Fury Road (2015) The fourth installment in the Mad Max series. In 2016, Keough
had her breakthrough role as a law student-turned-escort in the first season of
the anthology series The Girlfriend Experience, executive-produced by
Soderbergh and based on his 2009 film of the same name. Her performance was
highly praised and received nominations for the Golden Globe Award for Best
performance by an actress in a Television limited Series or Motion Picture.
Keough's performance as a lost young woman in American Honey (2017) garnered
the same praise as well as an Independent Spirit Award nomination. The same
year, Keough starred the apocalyptic horror film It Comes at Night (2017), and
reunited with Soderbergh to appear in the heist film Logan Lucky. She followed
this with roles in a number of thriller and horror films in the year 2018,
including Lars Von Trier's The House That Jack Built, the neo-noir Under the
Silver Lake, and Hold the Dark. Keough was the leading character in the 2019
psychological horror film The Lodge. She was followed by another role in Zola
(2020) that is which is a comedy-drama. Keough plays the character Sandy
Harrison in Netflix's 2020 release of The Devil All the Time.
