Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix served as an ordained minister at Sun Valley at Master's Seminary. Marlean Felix taught at Balboa Magnet. Felix had an early aptitude for sports when she was studying at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Felix discovered her athletic potential at the time. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. In 2003, Felix was a senior in high school having signed a professional contract with the athletics company Adidas and then enrolled at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s which set a new junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to take home the 200 meters race. She defended this title and beat her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix was consistently in the top 3 throughout her races during the Olympics held at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo.
