Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix, is a minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After a few weeks of the first trial she took her skills, she placed second in 200m at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix signed a contract for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. At the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix became the world's youngest champion in the 200m. In 2007, she defended the title in front of her Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her competitions.
