Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actor. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as a Bond girl in A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she was in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody played Nazi sympathetic archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan is in A Prayer for the Dying, Charlotte in Taffin and Rebecca Flannery Major League II. Doody was asked by a photographer to model who asked her to perform the role of a model. Doody then began to build her career as a commercial model. Doody was extremely cautious about doing the glamorous work or doing nude. The same rule continued into Doody's acting work. When she was spotted by the director of casting in a James Bond movie, she took a part in A View to a Kill in the role of Jenny Flex. Doody was listed in John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors of 1986. 38. Doody, at 18-years-old as she played the character of Doody in Bond she was still the oldest Bond gal until today. A Prayer for the Dying (1997), starring Mickey Rourke, also featured a smaller role as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a silent actress in a 1987 adaptation to The Secret Garden, playing Archibald Craven's dream bride Lilias. Doody played Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fable show The Storyteller, opposite John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. In 1988, she played with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has collaborated with three James Bond actors. In 1991 Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce in British mini-series Selling Hitler inspired by the published fraud known as The Hitler Diaries. She subsequently relocated to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery her agent, as well as her girlfriend for Major League II. She had been chosen as an alternative to Cybill Shepherd who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. After a long absence from the screen Doody was back in the acting world with a small role in 2003's British comedy film The Actors with Michael Caine as her character in the event scene for the award ceremony. Doody was a co-star, along with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Doody was also cast in Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). The Clinic, a medical drama that aired on RTE. The Asphyx was her 2011 remake. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way, a 2014 film. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November in 2018. In addition, she was awarded an award on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
